Open House Event to Highlight Career Opportunities for Youth

The Boys & Girls Club of Easton is holding an open house for teens, parents and young adults tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 6 at 5:30 p.m. at the Easton Teen Center, located at 1101 Northampton St.

The event will feature an introduction to workforce and job opportunities presented by Linda Benko, Program Manager at CareerFORCE.

CareerFORCE, based in Allentown, works with students in determining their skills and passions and subsequently exposes them to a wide variety of occupations through research, networking opportunities and employment.

Also to be discussed is why it's important to attend further education after high school and how to enroll in the B&G Club's college tours program.

Refreshments will be served.  The event is open to the general public but aimed specifically at teens and parents who are interested in learning more about job opportunities for youth.

For more details call Tina Dowling-Hackett at 610-703-8575 or Dean Young at  610-253-5846.
