Bullying Prevention Workshop to Feature Short by Easton Filmmaker
The film screening is set for noon, along with a brown bag lunch, with the workshop following from 1 to 3 p.m.
"Play Well with Others…Be Active against Bullying" will feature John Smith, 1989 National Physical Education Teacher of the Year and 2005 National High School Basketball Coach of the Year who is now an educational consultant for FlagHouse Inc., which is partnering with the Boys & Girls Club to offer the workshop.
"Play Well with Others" is an activity-based workshop with games and activities for all ages covering the theme of bullying awareness and prevention. Participants will engage in the games and activities and will learn how teamwork, problem solving and playing together can help children be active against bullying.
The workshop will take place in the Boys & Girls Club’s gymnasium, located at 210 Jones Houston Way. It's free to community organizers, educational institutions, after-school care providers, and club volunteers and is open to the first 50 people to register, which is required to participate.
For more information or to register, email Dean Young at stars@fast.net or call 610-253-5846.
