First Time Home Buyers Seminar: 8:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a second session next Saturday, Jan. 11 at the same times. Educating first-time homebuyers about home ownership, the sessions are conducted by Community Action Committee of the Lehigh Valley and representatives of local mortgage lenders, insurance agents, realtors and other experts. During these seminars we talk about preparing for home ownership, the importance of good credit, how to shop for a home, etc. Prospective homeowners hear from experts about the current housing market, credit, budgeting, loan products, working with a realtor, homeowners insurance, down payment/closing assistance programs, and more.
