EAHS Athletes Accept College Scholarships

Four Easton Area High School students that received athletic scholarships accepted the colleges' offers in a signing ceremony held in the EAHS gym lobby this morning.

EAHS linebacker Justin Best committed to attending and playing for the East Stroudsburg University football team.

Football players Cam Casciole and Justin Weldon received scholarships to Indiana University of Pennsylvania and will be attending there this coming fall.

Casciole was recruited by a number of Division II and III schools as a linebacker, EAHS Head Football Coach Steve Shiffert said, adding that Weldon was recruited as a defensive lineman by numerous of Div II and Div I AA schools.

A former Easton teammate, Matt Mowad, also attends and plays for the football team at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Cross-country runner Joshua Shultz also signed a letter of intent this morning and will  attend Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Del. this coming autumn.
