Federal and state offices, as well as the US Postal Service, are closed, along with many local government offices. Most schools and many banks have the day off too.

"Pour It Forward": 6 p.m. We’ll be pouring La Trappe Oak Aged Quad into La Trappe glasses.  The first 40 pours are free, and then you have the opportunity to buy the glass.  Lanny Hoff, owner of Artisanal Imports, and Dean Young, executive director of the Easton Boys & Girls Club will be on hand helping us pour.   1. Actually, Washington's birthday is February 22....a Saturday this year. Presidents' Day was created so we don't have to choose between Lincoln or Washington for a holiday.
    But I bet you knew that.
