Easton Farmers’ Market 260th Birthday Celebration: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nationally syndicated public radio personality, Mike McGrath, host of "You Bet your Garden" will be the day’s featured speaker – offering organic gardening presentations, Q&A sessions and book signings  at 10 a.m. and noon. Singer/Historian, Ray Owen will present his Farm Heritage Show throughout the day. Look for “Bob the Bike Guy” peddling throughout the market on his antique high wheeler and bring the kids for children’s games and craft activities. See what 260 years looks like in cake -- baked by EFM's own Karen Drake of Tombler's Bakery and Linda Schiaffino of Spreading Joy. Sing 'Happy Birtbhday EFM' with Mayor Sal Panto. The Easton Farmers’ Market is also seeking, names, stories and photos of people who sold at the market pre-1960. Information collected will be used to create a tribute to past vendors. 6th Annual Red White & Brew Party: Begins 3 p.m.  Hot dog and pie eating contests, bonfire, music by Street Machine, Psych, Social Call (formerly Jolly Roger), fireworks. $7 per person. $5 for military and children. "Easton's like totally radical 80s Prom": 7 to 10 p.m. Featuring live 70s and 80s soft rock hits by Soft Focus, and DJ Marty McFly will spin records between sets. Hors d'oeuvres and desserts, Weyerbacher's brews, wine and all-you-can-drink punch.A prom court, to be voted on at the event, as well as prom king and queen, is planned, plus a silent art auction. Big hair, shoulder pads and skinny ties are encouraged attire. $20 per person,benefits the West Ward Neighborhood Partnership's Street Beautification program. Easton Heritage Day!

Easton Heritage Day celebrates the reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 8, 1776 on the steps of the old Northampton County Court House. Here, the Easton flag was first unfurled and Easton’s Liberty Bell made by the Moravians at Bethlehem added its bronze note of rejoicing from the cupola of the historical Court House.

The day begins  at 10 a.m. Reading of the Declaration of Independence at noon on Centre Square, fireworks on the riverfront at 9:30 p.m. For more information, visit http://www.heritageday.org/

Ecumenical church service, 10 a.m., Riverside Park amphitheatre, just north of the free bridge, Larry Holmes Drive.

Anastatic copy of the Declaration of Independence* viewing and lecture - A rare, anastatic facsimile, one of only two known copies of this nature to exist. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Plus a special exhibit of other rare local documents. Sigal Museum, 342 Northampton St. $5 admission.

Revolutionary War encampment, Proctor's Pennsylvania Artillery Company, courtyard of First UCC Church, Church Street just off of North Third Street, 12:30 to 4 p.m.

Riverfront events begin, 5 p.m. Bands include Large Flowerheads (Sounds of the Sixties), Citizens Band Radio (Country), School of Rock Bank Street Band and Start Making Sense (Talking Heads
cover band).

Fireworks on the riverfront, 9:30 p.m.

Other activities include carnival rides*, kid's entertainment, classic car show, face painting, craft show, beer garden* and more.
