Traffic will be stopped on Route 78 in both directions in Williams Township on Tuesday, January 8 for about 15 minutes sometime between 1 and 2 p.m.
The traffic standstill is to allow blasting to safely occur at the landfill owned by Chrin Brothers Inc., which is adjacent to the highway, according to a PennDOT announcement.
The state transportation agency also warned that motorists on Route 33 south near the interchange with Route 78 may also be affected when the flow of traffic is halted on Route 78.
"Expect delays and use caution driving through the area," PennDOT warns.
