Used book sales in both Easton and Wilson Borough are planned for the month of September. Both sales promise a large selection to choose from, with books starting at just 25 to 50 cents.
The Mary Meuser Memorial Library Book Fair is set to take place this weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8 and 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library, located at 1803 Northampton St.
The Easton Branch of the American Association of University Women will be collecting used books, DVDs, CDs and tapes for it's upcoming annual book fair on those days as well, from 1 to 4 p.m., as well as next weekend, on Sept. 15 and 16, also from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Eddyside Pool House, Route 611 and East Lafayette Street, at the northern edge of the Easton city limits, where the upcoming sale is set to take place.
There are also a number of collection barrels at various community locations where the public may donate materials to the AAUW event.
The Easton AAUW book sale is set to run from Thursday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Sept. 23 and Thursday, Sept. 27 through Saturday, Sept. 29.
A dealers' and collectors' preview period, for a $10 fee, is set for Thursday, Sept. 20 from 8 to 10 a.m.
Otherwise, admission to the AAUW sale is free, and the fair will run from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 27.
