Naheem Adams, suspected of murdering George Jeter, was arrested in New York City early this morning, the Easton Police Department has announced.
Jeter was shot and killed in the 1400 block of Butler Street on July 27.
Adams, for who the EPD had issued an arrest warrant for criminal homicide, was taken into custody at approximately 6 a.m. this morning near his mother's apartment in Brooklyn by members of the NYPD Fugitive Task Force, a release from the EPD says.
Police say he is to be arraigned in New York and will be held there until he is extradited back to Northampton County.
