Alleged Heroin Dealer Nabbed in Centre Square After West Ward Raid

Easton Police raided a house in the West Ward this morning and arrested a suspect that was the target of their search warrant in Centre Square early this morning, police report.

At about 6 a.m. this morning, Easton Police Vice/Narcotics and Special Response officers executed a narcotics search warrant at 1125 Ferry St., according to a press release from the department.

EPD Vice already possessed an arrest warrant for Monet Buggs, 19, but she was not at the residence when the search was carried out, police say.

Buggs was located and arrested later, in Centre Square at about 7:45 a.m.. She is charged with the delivery of heroin and was the target of the search warrant because EPD Vice suspected that Buggs was selling heroin from the dwelling, police said.

Police also say they suspect that there may be several other individuals that were selling heroin from that location who associated with Buggs.

They added that they believe Buggs was selling the drug during the day from the residence when the renters of the property were not home.

Investigation is still ongoing by EPD Vice.

Online county records indicate that the home is owned by Vanessa Gardner, of Easton.
