Suspect Sought in Smoke Shop Armed Robbery


Easton Police are looking for a man that allegedly committed armed robbery this morning at around 8:30 a.m. at Smokes 2 Go, in the same shopping center as Wawa, on Larry Holmes Drive.

The suspect, a black male in his 30s, is about 5-foot-8-inches tall with dark facial hair. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath a jacket, with dark pants with a white stripe, and sneakers, report police.

He displayed a dark colored automatic handgun while robbing the store of an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities added.

The robber then fled in a dark blue GMC Envoy, and police say they think he headed south over the Third Street Lehigh River bridge towards Southside Easton.

A press release from the EPD added that the suspect also appears to have an unusual gait when he walks.
