Affordable Care Act Town Hall meeting: 1 to 2 p.m. A chance for constituents to get answers to questions about the health care law, Congressman Matt Cartwright will be joined by Jim Palmquist, director of the Pennsylvania chapter of the AARP, and Athena Ford, advocacy director for the Pennsylvania Health Access Network. Easton Area High School Bonfire and Pep Rally: The lighting happens after dark in this annual tradition preceding the Easton-Phillipsburg Thanksgiving Day football game. Easton Area High School, 25th Street and William Penn Highway, Palmer Township.

Menorah Lighting Ceremony: 6:30 p.m. The menorah on Centre Square will be lit for the first night of Chanukah. Centre Square.

Palmer Township Environmental Steering Committee meeting: 7 p.m. In the Palmer Library meeting room, at the Municipal Complex, 1 Weller Place (off of Newburg Road), Palmer Township.

Save the Date!

The Easton Peace Candle lighting ceremony happens on Friday, November 29 from 5 to 9 p.m. on Centre Square. Numerous Downtown Easton shops will be open late, a parade will bring the official arrival of Santa Claus to the city at 7 p.m., and ice sculpting demonstrations, a craft show, kids' activities, live music, and horse-drawn carriage rides for a fee will also be part of the evening's entertainments. See you there!
