The Easton Main Street Initiative (EMSI) has again been recognized as accredited for meeting the performance standards set by the National Main Street Center. This is the sixth year in a row the local program has received the designation, EMSI said in a press release issued earlier this week.
The organization’s performance is annually evaluated by the Pennsylvania Downtown Center, which works in partnership with the National Main Street Center to identify the local programs that meet ten performance standards.
The organization, which operates under the direction of the Greater Easton Development Partnership, is dedicated to economic revitalization in the City of Easton's Downtown district.
Of the 61 communities reviewed by the Pennsylvania Downtown Center, 57 communities were deemed eligible. From those communities, 26 were recommended for accreditation with 25 receiving accreditation from the National Main Street Center, it was noted in the media announcement.
