A 39-year-old man was stabbed multiple times near South 12th and Ferry streets early Thursday morning, Easton police report.
Police were initially called to the scene for a welfare check on the man and discovered his injuries when they arrived at 6:09 a.m..
The victim was transported to an undisclosed area hospital for treatment. Authorities added that they believe the injuries to be non-life threatening.
While police say the victim has offered "limited cooperation" in helping to identify the perpetrator, a suspect in the crime was described as having fled north along the Cherry Street alley way.
Both the victim and the possible suspect are white, authorities said.
Police are asking any possible witnesses that observed the suspect fleeing the scene or that have further information about the incident to call Det. Darren Snyder at 610-250-6637 or the Easton Police Tip Line at 610-250-6635, where callers can remain anonymous.
