Two-City Halloween Parade Announces Date, Seeks Participants

The Great Halloween Parade of Phillipsburg/Easton, which was first postponed and then cancelled in the wake of Superstorm Sandy last year, is on again this year in full force, and parade officials are actively seeking participants for the event, set for Sunday, October 27, beginning at 3 p.m.

The Warren County Regional Chamber of Commerce, who is organizing the parade, is inviting both non-profit and for profit organizations, along with school, church, and other community groups, musicians, car and motorcycle clubs, and individuals to be part of the annual event, which has traditionally attracted 5,000 or more spectators each year.

The rain-or-shine parade will line up at McKeen Street in Phillipsburg, NJ prior to the 3 p.m. step-off time, and organizers urge participants to be early to ensure the smooth running of the event. This year's full route has yet to be announced, but the parade proceeds across the Delaware River free bridge to Downtown Easton, where it eventually concludes the festivities.

Those wishing to take part should complete and return a registration form, along with their $10 non-refundable registration fee by October 15.
