Stranger Approached Small Boy, Police Say

A man claiming to be looking for his dog approached a young boy late Sunday afternoon in Easton's South Side neighborhood, and police are investigating the incident.

Police say that at about 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 20, an unknown man approached a 5-year-old that was playing in the 100 block of East St. Joseph Street and asked the child if he had seen his dog. When another adult approached and began speaking with the man, he reportedly left, driving a green SUV.

The man has been described as a heavy-set white male who is approximately 40 years old. He was wearing a baseball cap.
