3rd Annual Tim Lambert BSA Memorial 5k & 10K Run: Registration and packet pickup begins at 7:30 a.m. One mile kids fun run is at 9 a.m., 10K run begins at 9:30 a.m., and the 5K run/walk starts at 10 a.m. The event honors retired Easton police officer and active Easton school district resource officer Tim Lambert, who was killed along with his daughter in 2008 in a motorcycle accident while traveling home from a BMW motorcycle club even in New York. Lambert was a Cubmaster for Cubscout Pack 29 in Forks Township, and the event will benefit local Boy Scout programs in the community. Registration prices vary based on age and whether participating in the 5K or 10K course. Discount for active scouts. The kids one-mile event is free. Easton Farmers' Market: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Apple Jam! Bake-off entries must arrive by 10:30 a.m., judging is at 11 a.m. The oldest continuous open-air market in the United States. Centre Square. www.eastonfarmersmarket.com

Columbus Day Celebration: 1 p.m. Music by the Lehigh Valley Italian-American Band. Begins with a flag raising on Centre Square, followed by a march to the Columbus statue in Riverside Park, where a wreath will be placed, followed by more music. Free.
