Today is Columbus Day, a federal holiday.

Municipal and state offices are closed today, along with most banks and schools. We'd add the mention that federal government offices are also closed for the holiday, but with the continuing shutdown, they already are. (Yo, Congress! Get over it already and get back to work!)

Naturalist Walk: 9 to 11 a.m. Join Preserve Manager and Natural Lands Trust Wildlife Coordinator Tim Burris to explore the 200-acre Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary. Please wear sturdy walking shoes and bring your water bottle. Walks will meet in the parking lot at Mariton. We will proceed in misty conditions but cancel in case of downpour or lightening.
