Store Clerks Tied Up During Armed Robbery in Wilson

 Two female store clerks were tied up, and one was pistol whipped, during an armed robbery that occured at a Wilson Borough gas station in the early hours of Monday morning, police report.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., two men reportedly entered the Square One Exxon at 1503 Northampton St.
One of the men allegedely chased down one of the store employees, struck her in the head with a handgun, and then tied her up. The second man is reported to have jumped the counter and forced the cashier to open the cash register at gun point. The second employee was also then tied, police say.

The two robbers fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash.

Both men are described as being tall and thin, and were wearing masks and gloves during the incident.

Police say the clerks, who are both from the Easton area, were not seriously injured and refused medical treatment.
