ALIVE Student Jam Concert and Conference: Doors open at 6:30 p.m. With performers from Philadelphia, New York, and even Texas, plus a motivational speaker from 9 to 9:30 p.m. Activities are planned for students of all ages--register in advance or at the event. Palmer 5k Run: Race begins at 9 a.m. Awards for top times for both men and women, and age groups ranging from under-14 to 60+, plus raffle prizes. T-shirts for the first 250 participants.  6th Annual Derriere in the Delaware: 10 a.m. Enjoy your day by taking a leisurely float down the Delaware. All proceeds benefit the Easton Area Police Athletic League's Cops 'n Kids Reading Room. $5 per person, plus $10 for a tube, which is yours to keep or can be donated back to EAPAL. Float begins at Eddyside Park, ends at Scott Park. Buses will be available to take tubers from Scott Park upriver to Eddyside for river access. Rain date is Sunday, August 18. 5 p.m. to midnight. Concert and a Movie in the Park: The Easton Municipal Band will perform James Bond tunes beginning at 7:30 p.m., followed by a showing of the latest James Bond movie "Skyfall". Hedda Lettuce: 9 p.m. Hedda Lettuce, the six-time Drag Queen of the Year Award-winner (HX magazine), has received national acclaim for her poised characters, startling satire and original music. Tickets are $20 each + tax & city event fee ($22.20 total). Show is sold out, though there are reportedly a limited number of standing room tickets still available. Reservations definitely recommended. Following the show, there will be an art reception for Hedda Lettuce's series of paintings, "The Women" as well as a meet and greet event.
