Green Pastures Community Church will host its first neighborhood block party in Easton’s West Ward on North 10th Street between Church Street and Wood Avenue from 1 to 6 p.m., next Saturday on August 10. The event is free and open to community residents.

Featured will be a “basketball shoot-around”, a clown, face painting, games, and a mini carnival for kids.

The Green Pastures’ "Praise and Worship Singers", its "Praise and Dance Team" and a deejay will provide entertainment. Easton’s Police Department’s K-9 Unit will be on hand for a demonstration as well as the Easton Fire Department. Free fingerprinting will be provided for children by American General Life Insurance as well.

"We are looking forward to having fun and fellowship as a way of building an even stronger connection with our neighbors," said Senior Pastor of Green Pastures Don Griffin. "Our church is delighted to be a part of the West Ward community."

For more information about the block party or any other Green Pastures Community Church programs, which include a nursing home ministry, distribution of school supplies, Christmas caroling, Sunday school for adults and children, and Bible study on Tuesday evenings, please call the church at 610-253-8001.
